TURN 6:

Evan Simpson:
bASILAR m2d - end of discussion.

Nick Deller:
Yep. All the other bonuses look a little more dangerous. I'd always consider a move scoring 30+ and keeping a *very* promising leave (?S and maybe a few friends), but I can't see anything like that at a cursory glance.

So bASILAR M2d gets my 16 votes as well.

Can I also mention at this point that I've officially upgraded my opinion of the "invisible E" situation from "quite unusual and interesting" to "a bit suspicious"? Spreadsheets and probability theory will certainly be putting in an appearance if we don't see one in the report for Move 7.

Helen Gipson:
Just to be argumentative... why not RoSALIA at g13a - scores the same?

Bob Lipton:
(In reply to Helen Gipson)
I'm with Ev.

b14a FREEZE FRIEZE SNEEZE (not to mention FREEZER SNEEZER SNEEZED)

or the even quieter moves like j14a MINER BANED, etc, in addition to XI

I'd rather risk FRIZ and KRAB or even m2d RESEIZE.

Keiichro Hirai:
Now I vote (17 votes) for bASILAR/PIGS(72pt).

RoSALIA is another playable bonus at the same place. However, this could lead to QAT(L12a) or XI(J14a) by PC side. bASILAR/BUHLS could give PC a chance to score high on L8a like FRIZ, KRAB, etc.

Also it's better to kill G-floater of PIG. RoSALIA takes S, but bASILAR only takes Y, meaning latter is more defensive.

So, bASILAR/PIGS(72pt) looks the best. (I confess I only saw SoLARIA/BUHLS without LeXpert.)

Could it be that I vote for the best move for two moves in a row?

Peter Finley:
The only playable bonuses I can see (although there may be OSPD-only ones I don't know) are RoSALIA at either m2d or g13a, bASILAR in the same places, and SoLARIA at m4d or i13a.

Don't like SoLARIA because it creates dangerous openings in either place. Either bASILAR or RoSALIA from m2d would give away a tws and open two bonus lines (one either side of the final A).

Either bASILAR or RoSALIA at g13a looks best - and I'll plump for bASILAR as it only takes a Y and they've both gone.

However, I'll wait to see what the OSPD experts come up with before I make that a definite vote.
