KOREANS SWEEP WORLD JUNIORS

The South Korean team has won both groups (U-18 and U-12) at the World Youth Go Championship in Prague.

In the Senior Group Hur Young Ho 5d beat the Chinese representative Wang Lei, rated professional 1 dan, in the final. This reversed the result when these two met in the preliminary Swiss.

In the Junior group the final came down to China v South Korea also. Kang Dong Yoon 5d held the line against Huang Chen 5d, to give South Korea both titles.

Game records are on the web site of the event. Team leader Nam Chihyung, a professional player who also presents Go on the cable channel catering for South Korea's fanatical baduk (Go) followers, will return to Seoul satisfied with this performance.
