- The Paper/article was written in 1993. Parts were published in the Hoosier Backgammon News and Das Backgammon Magazine.
- The cube formulae/methodology were subsequently used in the development of Snowie 3 cube handling (last year).
- The paper is my original work from 1993 without supplement. Hence, there is no reference to Snowie or Jellyfish as they weren't yet conceived.
- The actual formulae/methodology incorporated in Snowie 3 is an enhancement/elaboration of the 1993 work to enable mathscore specific problems to be dealt with. This work was done in close collaboration with Olivier Egger. At some stage I would like to write a paper regarding the newer work, which would require the approval of Snowie and particularly Olivier Egger, who would take some share of the credit.
- Due to other pressing commitments, I have no immediate plans to write this new paper.
- The original paper is of considerable significance in that it is the most accurate model of doubling in money games, allowing for varying gammons, backgammon, jacoby rule and beavers. Danny Kleinman, who checked through this work, freely acknowledged this assertion.
- Over the last 4-5 years there have been frequent discussions on rec.games.backgammon, regarding the use of these formulae (check dejanews with deja.com). In most cases, the posters haven't had access to the full work.
