Corus wrap-ups dominate the websites this week. Kasparov has demonstrated he still has that extra something over his closest rivals, as a few commentators point out. Sophia Polgar laments the lack of women in the top 100 ratings list.

Leontxo Garcia reports on Kasparov's victory at Corus. Not only is Kasparov better prepared, he is more of a fighter than the others as well. Kramnik & Leko spoke of a lack of energy and a lack of motivation at the end. When told the spectators chose Morozevich's victory over Nikolic as the game of the day, Kasparov said, "They do not understand anything of chess." [In Spanish.]

In a post-Corus interview, Anand said he had to hide his opening preparation and not let anyone know what he had prepared. "It is possible that all my preparation was for one guy (Kasparov) and somehow I had difficulty adjusting to a whole field," he said.
