Here are some of the most interesting decisive moments in the second games of round 3.

Viswanathan Anand vs. Smbat Lputian

Black sacrificed the exchange in the early middlegame, but this brought no joy. Now he played 1..Rxb5 after which his iniative gradually wore off and white won.
Peter Svidler vs. Peng Xiaomin

Svidler needed to win. The St. Petersburger is known for his skill in handling the Ruy Lopez, and this game will add to that reputation. In the diagram position white continued straightforwardly: 1.Rxb5 h5 2.Rb7 Rh8 3.Rd7 and soon he was a safe pawn up, winning later.
Alexej Alexandrov vs. Evgeny Bareev

White embarked on a losing combination: 1.Bxf5? ef 2.Qf6 Rg7 3.Re7 Qd8 4.Rae1 Bc4 5.g3 Bxa2 6.Qxf5 Rb1 and black repelled the white attack, winning shortly.
