Round 1.3 decisive moments

Here are some of the most interesting decisive moments in the tie-break games of round 1.

el Taher vs. Aleksandrov 1.8

White has emerged from tremendous complications on the verge of a major upset, but his tangled pieces make it hard to use his material advantage: 1.Nxf4!? Rf6 2.Be4? gf 3.ba d5 4.Bc2 Bd6 and black went on to win.
Lakos vs. Cramling 1.3

1.Ba3?? Qb6+ 0-1.

There is no stopping a check on f2 or h2. Both players had to shake off appalling blunders in this match.
Lakos vs. Cramling 1.6

1..Re4?? 2.Bxe4 1-0
Lutz vs. Ghaem Maghami 1.4

1.Bb3+! Rxb3 2.Nd2+ Kb5 3.Kxb3 and white won.
Minasian vs. Villamayor 1.6

1.Bc5 Nxa6 2.Bd6 1-0

Elegant minimalism - the f7 pawn falls, and with it, black's entire position.
Nogueiras vs. Ehlvest 1.6

The near paralysis of a former top player after 16 moves with white is rather terrifying, and Nogueiras cracks under the speed and pressure:

1.Ne2 0-0 2.Nd4? Ne4 3.Nxc6 Bxd2+ 0-1
Volkov vs. Sakaev 1.3

Black has exposed his own king and manoeuvred his h8 rook to b6. After:

1..Rab8! 2.Bxb6 Qxb6 3.0-0-0 Nd4

...black won the ensuing tactical melee.
Sakaev vs. Volkov 1.6

White's all-out attack has backfired:

1..Rf2 2.Rg2 Rf1+ 0-1

..Qe4 next is mate.
