Here are some of the most interesting decisive moments in the second games of round 1.

Hannes Stefansson vs. Viktor Bologan

In this symmetrical position, black's passed pawn turned out to be quicker than white's: 1..Bc2 2.b6 b3 3.Rxf7 b2 and black soon won the white bishop and the game. See the entire game annotated by GM Einar Gausel.
Bartlomiej Macieja vs. Jon Speelman

White continued 1.d5 Nxd5 2.Rxd5 Rxb3 3.Qf6+ Kh7 4.Rd7 and started a desicive attack.
Thien Hai Dao vs. Ruslan Ponomariov

In this very tactical game, white won material with 1.Rc8 Rxc8 2.dcQ+ Qxc8 3.Rd8+ and later the game. See the entire game annotated by GM Einar Gausel.
Sune Berg Hansen vs. Andrei Kharlov

Black is a pawn up, but 1..Rxg4+ 2.Kh3 is not enough, so black found: 1..g5! 2.fg Rxg4 3.Kh3 Rxg5. Soon he won the isolated e-pawn as well, and later the game.
Krishnan Sasikiran vs. Amon Simutowe

White unleashed a Queen sacrifice: 1.Qxb3! Qxb3 2.Bxd6 cd 3.Rc7+ winning the bishop on b7. White remained with a strong passed b-pawn, and finished the game with a mating attack.
Rafael Vaganian vs. Hichem Hamdouchi

White played 1.a4, threatening 2.b5. Black saved his knight with 1..Nc2, but 2.Nh7 Rf5 3.Be6+ won material decisively.
