Round Two
The second round of the MSO's FIDE KO prediction contest attracted a smaller number of competitors, not surprising with less than a day to vote, unless one tries picking the winners before the official pairings are posted ...
Another closely fought contest, though. Our statistically-minded webmaster Chris Dickson has the following to report:
The completely semi-automated prediction competition round two victory calculation has taken place and the winner, with 26/32, was Shane Gaschler.
Close, but cigarless, were 25/32 scorers Orla Nicklom and Ron van Bruchem. At the other end of the scale, the lowest score of the twenty received was a still-quite-respectable 17/32.
Mean score was exactly 22/32, median score 22/32, modal score 21/32.
