Yet another of Wu's opponents failed to get going, allowing the Grandmaster from China to continue his unbroken run of wins. White played as if overawed by his opponent's reputation. Black quickly developed a slight initiative which increased when White kindly gave up bishop for knight. Thereafter White continued his plan of playing without a plan and his strategy was hugely successful, culminating in the loss of the exchange which ultinmately proved fatal.
