Khalifman vs Leko
FIDE World Champion Alexander
Khalifman and the world number 8 will be facing off in a six game match
in Budapest from January 3 to 9, 2000.
Khalifman, who shocked the
chess community by clinching the supreme title in Las Vegas, has yet
to win a game as reigning champion. This match will hopefully gives
some answers as to whether or not he can hold his own against a
top-10 player.
