Gleizerov Banks Bydgoszcz Open
GM Evgeny Gleizerov of Russia won the Bydgoszcz Open held in Poland May 28 to June 6 with a score of 7.0/9. The 37-year-old Gleizerov beat Lerner with black in the 8th round and drew Eingorn in 10 moves in the final round to finish in clear first place.
Gleizerov plays a standard queen-pawn setup as white (d4, c4, Nf3; or d4 c4 g3). As black, he plays the French, Dutch (he drilled Kempinski in 23 moves in Round 7), and King's Indian.
