International Chess Festival
«Odessa-2001»

Welcome to Odessa!
Regulations of the International Chess Festival «Odessa-2001»

The event will take place in Odessa (Ukraine) from August, 16 to August, 26.

Arrivals: August, 16. The festival includes:

1. Open championship of the Odessa Chess School for Children and Teenagers.
   A 9 round Swiss individual-team event, 1 hour 30 minutes for each player. The event is open for players born in 1985 or earlier. The number of players regardless of sex in one team - 4. We invite teams from Chess Schools for Children and Teenagers, chess and sport clubs and individual chessplayers.

2. Tournament «Chess Hopes»
   The event is open for players born 1990 or earlier. A 9 round Swiss, 1 hour and a half for each participant.

3. Botvinnik Memorial
   Will be held from August, 17 to August, 23. The event is open for everybody regardless of sex and age. A 7 round Swiss, 1 hour for each chessplayer.

Some provisions

• tournament fee - 10 grivnia;
• accomodations in hotels and recreation departments will be organised for participants who will send applications before August, 1;
• cost of accomodations and board in sanatorium board school is from 18 grivnia per day;
• approximative cost of accomodations in hotels is from 10 to 15 grivnia

Prizes

Winners of all events will get modest but valuable prizes and gifts. It is worth to note that in this season of the year delicious, caressing waves of the Black Sea, velvet August rays of the sun and a hot gold sand are waiting for you.
