Fit
for a King Towards the end of the last millennium, the Bols Royal Distilleries of the Netherlands sponsored the Bols Brilliancy Awards which were presented annually to both the reporter and the executor of the year's most brilliant hand. In these pages Sally Brock and Barry Rigal take a look at all the hands nominated for these awards and, for added interest, include personal details/anecdotes and photographs of most of the stars. Sally Brock, double world champion, is a bridge author and journalist. As well a writing in the bridge press, she has had a regular column in 'The Times'. Barry Rigal is a professional bridge writer, player and commentator who now lives in New York.
