Kantar If you read and enjoyed this author's previous light-hearted books (Bridge Humor and The Best of Kantar) then you will already know what a treat is in store. If you have not come across either of the other titles yet, then add them to your 'wants' list now. Kantar starts off with some of the amusing incidents that have arisen from his life as a bridge teacher. Then he moves on to his adventures travelling around the world to play. Finally, he takes an irreverent look at some of the ways in which experts (including himself) get egg on their faces. This is a good example:
Defending against 1NT, West led K This book is suitable for players at all levels. Don't expect to be able to put it down, though - book a whole evening off so that you can read it from cover to cover. Highly recommended. Marc Smith
