The 2001 Generali
European Bridge Championships

Contracts are about to be signed for the 2001 Generali European Bridge Championships.

They will be held at the
Mare Nostrum Resort, Arona,
Tenerife
from 16 - 30 June 2001

These Championships comprise:

The Generali European Women's Pairs Championship, open to any high-ranked women's pairs who are nominated by their NBO (National Bridge Organisation). Women's pairs wishing to participate in this prestigious event should contact their NBO as soon as possible to request nomination. There is no limit on the number of pairs that may be nominated by any European NBO.

The Generali European Open and Women's Teams Championships. These are the Zonal Championships for Zone 1, Europe, and are the qualifying event for the Bermuda Bowl (Open Teams) and the Venice Cup (Women's Teams) to be held in Bali in 2001. Each Member Country of the European Bridge League is invited to send one Open and one Women's team to compete in this, the most important bridge Championship in Europe.

The Generali Seniors' Teams. This event will be played for the third time in Tenerife, and it is likely that one team will be invited from each Member Country of the European Bridge League.
