We are pleased to announce what we have arranged with regard to the detailed playing schedule for the 6th Mind Sports Olympiad.
All prizes and entry fees are in pounds sterling (£) per player. Note that the full first entry fee given is for adults and the concessionary second entry fee (in brackets) is for junior entrants (under 16 on August 14th), entrants over 60, unemployed entrants and entrants with disabilities. A late entry penalty fee of £5 will be applied to entries postmarked after 9th August. Please note that there is also a £5 per day charge (maximum £15) for those who are not taking advantage of our accommodation packages to compete in MSO 6.
The sixth Mind Sports Olympiad is five days long. For those who wish to take part in several tournaments we will have a special entry fee of £50 (£30 for juniors, entrants over 60, unemployed entrants and entrants with disabilities) for which you may enter as many events as you wish, provided the schedules do not conflict.
Almost all of the tournaments at the Mind Sports Olympiad are run on the Swiss system. This means that you do not get knocked out of a tournament if you lose a game - you continue to play against opponents who have approximately the same score as yourself and you continue to play every round no matter what your score may be.
An online entry form is now available. Printed entry forms may be obtained by sending a large self-addressed envelope to:
Mind Sports Olympiad,
51 Borough Way,
Potters Bar,
Herts EN6 3HA,
