Husband and wife double Gold!

Reluctant to take time out from an extended honeymoon holiday, Rasa Miseikyte nevertheless took Gold in the Tori Shogi. When she has more time at home she prefers her 25 by 25 board making games last longer than a long Lithuanian night.

Husband Eduard Werner, winner of the Tori Shogi, plans to take in the sights of London tomorrow, though he will take a travel Shogi set in his rucksack...

Double World Champion!

Jan Palmgren added to his World title collection when he stormed through the Continuo field yesterday. Earlier he won the Boku World Championship. "Two out of three ain't bad" he said, eyeing up Borderline for his third World title to complete a memorable week.

The Indians continue to dominate in the Ron Banwell Masters. Pentalya Harikrishna and Abhijit Kunte move on to 3½/4. Nearest challengers include Pravin Thipsay and Dibyendu Barua! - Your correspondent will watch the action live again tomorrow!

Despite achieving bronze in the European Qualifier, Settlers of Catan expert Tanya Fox wanted more victories... at the Beginner's Settlers of Catan... winning Gold at last!
