The following rule changes were agreed:

1. If a player plays a winning move which also unites his opponents pieces the game is declared drawn. This may have been agreed personally.
2. Three-fold repetition of moves results in a draw if claimed by either player. In the event of a dispute the arbiter requires evidence of the repetition.

Tie-breaks were not needed this year, but were:
1. Game between the individuals concerned.
2. Highest sum of progressive score.
3. Play-off.

The time limit was 30 minutes per player.
