] SEARCHING FOR FUNDING FOR MIND SPORTS OLYMPIAD 2006
Despite our best efforts to secure sufficient funding to run the 10th Mind Sports Olympiad in
Manchester in 2006, we have not yet been able to confirm the required sum of £15,000. Ten
competitors have provided £5,000 and a commercial games group have offered support to make our
next event larger in numbers and even more varied in programme.
We have scheduled a meeting for supporters in London on Friday 18th November at 11 a.m. If you
would like to attend and can be a financial contributor please contact Tony Corfe (phone 01707
659080) for details. A follow-up announcement will be made on December 1st.

] ALL THE MEDALWINNERS FROM MIND SPORTS OLYMPIAD 9
The ninth Mind Sports Olympiad was a success, with many tournaments getting bigger and the
standard of competition getting ever fiercer. Several championships set MSO records for being the
biggest of their type; it was a thrill to welcome some mind sports back to the Olympiad fold and
introduce new ones to the event. Join us in offering our congratulations to all the participants,
especially the winners!

] COMING UP NEXT: MSO ITALY
The Mind Sports Olympiad movement continues apace around the world, with events being held not
only in Manchester, but in Prague in the Czech Republic, in Oulu in Finland and in Milan in Italy.
Known under the local name "Giochi Sforzeschi", the seventh edition of the highly popular festival is
coming up from the 4th to the 12th of December. We also look forward to another MSO event in
Cambridge next year, too.
