The 7th Mind Sports Olympiad will take place between Saturday 16th
August and Monday 25th August at the Manchester Conference Centre
at UMIST in Manchester, Great Britain. We encourage you to get your
entries in well in advance of the tournaments. With little over two
weeks to go, our tournaments are filling up quickly. A "late entry"
surcharge is applied to entries postmarked after 1st August or made
at the event; why not beat the deadline by looking at the schedule
on our web site and then applying to enter using our online form?

] BRITAIN'S LARGEST SIMULTANEOUS CHESS DISPLAY YET
On August 9th Scottish Grandmaster Jonathan Rowson will attempt
to break the British record for the number of chess games
played simultaneously. He will play 150 opponents. This will
be a charity event with the proceeds going to Francis House
children's hospice in Manchester. If you're in the Manchester area,
there's still time to sign up to take part in the display! Send
