handicap theory and he is now one of the leading experts in this

] EUROPEAN SHOGI CHAMPIONSHIPS AT MIND SPORTS OLYMPIAD 4

FESA, the governing body of shogi in Europe, are holding their
championship as part of the MSO 2000 Shogi Festival; we have at
least 91 people coming from all around the world to take part
in the championship, our blitz shogi tournament, a handicap team
match and demonstrations, lessons and a simultaneous display given
by guest of honour professional 6-dan Osamu Nakao.

] MORE EVENTS CONFIRMED AT MIND SPORTS OLYMPIAD 4

We are proud to feature the return of the Computer Olympiad - a
festival of mind sports tournaments in 15 different events where all
the matches take place between computer programs - at Mind Sports
Olympiad 4. We will also be featuring the World 10x10 Draughts Team
Championship and the British Quiz Championship, hosted by Magnus
Magnusson once more, not to mention a host of world championships!

There are over 120 different tournaments taking place at Mind Sports
Olympiad 4, and discounted entry fees are available throughout for

There are now no rooms left at the Wood Green Hall of Residence
from August 22 onward, but we still have a long list of other
inexpensive places to stay in London. They may not remain available
for long because London is a very popular tourist destination. We

participate in any of our contests. If you haven't done so yet,
attempting to participate in any contest will bring you to a log in

MSO's Trivia Contest, conducted by well-known trivia expert, Trevor
Montague, is designed to test your trivia skills. Which breed of dog
differs from all others by having a blue-black tongue? Who did Martina
Navratilova beat to win her ninth Wimbledon singles title in 1990?
Fifty multiple-choice questions, fifteen minutes, $500 for the winner.
A new contest takes place every second Sunday. Entry is free! Next
