We are pleased to announce what we have arranged with regard to the detailed playing schedule for MSO Cambridge 2001.
All prizes and entry fees are in pounds sterling (£) per player. Note that the full first entry fee given is for adults and the concessionary second entry fee (in brackets) can be claimed by people following into any of the following categories:
- Junior entrants (under 16 on May 5),
- Student entrants (in full-time education),
- Senior entrants (over 60 on May 5),
- Unwaged entrants,
- Entrants with disabilities.
For those who wish to take part in several tournaments we have a special entry fee of £12 (£7 for concessionary entrants) for which you may enter as many events as you wish, provided the schedules do not conflict.
Almost all of the tournaments at MSO Cambridge 2001 are run on the Swiss system. This means that you do not get knocked out of a tournament if you lose a game - you continue to play against opponents who have approximately the same score as yourself and you continue to play every round no matter what your score may be.
Payment should be sent either to the tournament director or to our centralised entries service at:
MSO Cambridge 2001,
2 Townsend Close,
Milton,
