Welcome to BRAINPOWER ON-LINE!

As editor of our forerunner, Synapsia, I am very
excited indeed about our new venture: BRAINPOWER
ON-LINE. From now on we will, every month, be bringing
you new articles to test, tantalise and generally add to
the knowledge of what our amazing brains are all
about.
Perhaps I should say a little about myself before we
go any further. In 1976 I first heard Tony Buzan speak
on the radio: little did I know what a profound effect
that was going to have on my life. I have a twin sister
who is a natural academic and she sailed through school.
Because I was not a natural academic, I did not.
However, I always felt that I had just as good a brain
but did not 'fit in' to the school system. When I heard
Tony speak on a radio phone-in programme on BBC Radio 4,
light bulbs lit up in my mind. We met in 1989 and have
worked together on many projects since. He has been, and
continues to be, a great inspiration to me as well as to
many others. So it is with tremendous happiness that I
am here at the beginning of a great new chapter in the
history of Synapsia, now BRAINPOWER ON-LINE.
