We are pleased to announce the results from the 8th Mind Sports Olympiad, which took place in the Manchester Conference Centre at UMIST, between Thursday 19th August 2004 and Monday 30th August 2004.

  • Each player will have 12 minutes per game with no overtime
  • Prizes: 1st place £20, plus a share of up to £200 of prizes in kind supplied by the British Go Association for excellent performances from players of all grades
  • Olympiad Championship - the Northern Go Tournament
  • Saturday 28 - Sunday 29, 9:30am-1pm and 2pm-5:30pm
  • Entry fee: £26 (£13)

  • Each player will have 60 minutes per game plus 5 minutes for 30 moves overtime
  • Prizes: 1st place £40, plus a share of up to £200 of prizes in kind supplied by the British Go Association for excellent performances from players of all grades
  • Rapidplay Olympiad Championship
  • Monday 30, 9:30am-1pm and 2pm-5:30pm
  • Entry fee: £18 (£9)
  • Pentamind: 7 hours
  • Each player will have 30 minutes per game with no overtime
  • Prizes: 1st place £20, plus a share of up to £200 of prizes in kind supplied by the British Go Association for excellent performances from players of all grades
